Worth a wait

I am so easy, aren’t I?

I always just give away what I am going to write about!

Well, here’s a plot twist!

I am not telling you anything specific! (muahaha)

So by the end of this post, you will still be wondering what is worth a wait.
Nah, not gonna do that to ya!

But, because I value my private life (as if I don’t post all my hair changes on Instagram), I will talk about this topic in general, not about any specific cases.

You know, so I don’t put this post in the Personal Category but in the Life Category (only an idiot would have the same Category for both, and I am that idiot).

Do you ever have a moment when you just have to have something, or you just have to be somewhere?
And you buy a ticket and 2 months later you see that you can’t go or you buy something and a week later you see that its price dropped?

I have those moments ALL THE TIME!
Sometimes I just can’t wait!

I am learning that research is indeed valuable and that you should always look for a better option (not talking about your partner).

Sometimes buying the first thing that the site is offering is not the best option.
For instance (I know I said no examples, shut up!) I want to buy a polaroid camera. I always dreamed of having one of those pink Instax Mini.
However, I did my research and I found out that the pictures are really small (what else is new, right – it’s called mini you idiot). I was sad at first because I thought that the pictures are squared. That was the polaroid I wanted. So, instead of buying the little pink fella, I went to Instax’s official site and checked my options. I found out that they indeed do have a polaroid that makes squared images and I decided to buy that one (fun fact, I didn’t because the price surprised me a little, gonna buy it next month tho).

So, really it was worth a wait and research!

And I have learned that a lot of things are worth a wait.
A plane ticket.
A visit.
Traveling to a new destination.
Love.

If you force something, it might just not be what you imagined in the first place.

Life has a plan for all of us.

If something is meant to be, it will be.

And everything comes at its time.

Because the longer you wait, the more you want it and once you get it, it is that much better. (And you can feel proud of yourself for waiting and not buying the thing at full price!)

I know it is hard to resist sometimes and I know that we all hate timing. I mean who has that much patience.

But, imagine …
Wanting something for a really long time.
You thought several times that it is finally yours (but in vain).
And then … the moment comes when you finally get it and it is better than you could’ve ever imagined. So beautiful, so delicious, so tasteful (By now I hope that you have realized that I am talking about the moment the waiter brings you food. You knew that, right? Oh, you thought that I talked about love? Nah, a juicy, nicely grilled steak. Oh, yeah.)

I have no idea where I am going with this post (besides that it made me hungry).
All I wanted to say, really, is that whatever you want, don’t force it. Don’t try to get it before its time. It will come to you. And if not, well, it wasn’t meant to be.

Disclaimer: I am not talking about your dreams and success. You should work on that and you shouldn’t expect it to come to you by eating the juicy steak with me in the restaurant (and by the way, I am not paying for that either).

So the next time you want to buy something, think about it first. If it’s on sale and you checked all the other options and it’s the best price with the best deal, then buy it. And when it comes to love … if it was a bad timing, it was probably for a reason (trust me, I would know). You are not going to miss someone who you weren’t meant to be with.

Read with you later, Lara. ❤
